Mijas
Pueblo is situated twenty minutes from Malaga airport and ten minutes by car
or bus from the coast.
Being a working and popular tourist village there is much to see and do.
Spread throughout
the village over forty restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets and many
shops sell everything from locally produced food and wines to the wonderful
crafted goods for which the Spanish are so famous.
There
are three squares and many interesting buildings to explore. The views are breathtaking,
especially those from the park that is situated at the very top of the village.
There are no shops up here, just the main church, the bullring, two small bars
and the gardens from where you can admire the incredible views.
Probably one of the best things about Mijas is the people. They are so friendly and welcoming that you will be sure to want to return again and again.

With its pretty plazas, donkey taxi's, horse drawn carriages and its truly Spanish atmosphere, Mijas is the perfect place to stay.

View & Traditional Donkey Carts |
On a Sunday afternoon before the bullfight, there is often a parade of traditionally dressed riders on horseback. Not many of us would enjoy watching a bullfight but we can still enjoy the atmosphere that the colourful riders provide as they parade through the streets and squares.
